Consequentemente, o impacto simbólico da vitória ultrapassou o campo, pois o Olympiacos eternizou o feito ao mencionar o Santos de Pelé em seu hino oficial, algo raro no futebol mundial e prova direta da dimensão internacional atingida pelo clube brasileiro.
