Em homenagem a Joaquim José da Silva Xavier, o Tiradentes, que foi enforcado pela Coroa Portuguêsa no dia 21 de abril de 1792 se tornado símbolo da Inconfidência Mineira, dezenove clubes de futebol no Brasil leva o nome Tiradentes. Confira:
